itsokaytotalk CIC — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Who we are: itsokaytotalk CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in the United Kingdom. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website.

What we collect: - Contact form submissions (name, email, message) - Newsletter signups (email address) - Partner enquiry details (name, email, organisation) - Story submissions (content, name if provided) - Video submissions (name, how you describe yourself, optional organisation and message, and the video file itself, which may include your image, voice, and lived experience) - Anonymous safety plan answers are NOT collected or stored — they remain on your device only

Special category data: Some video submissions may reveal information about a person's mental health. Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR (Article 9) this is "special category data." We only process it on the basis of your explicit, freely given consent, which you give when you upload a video. Consent is separate from these terms, is not required to use the rest of the website, and can be withdrawn at any time. See our Terms of Use for full details on the Voices feature.

How we use your information: - To respond to your enquiries - To send newsletter updates (only if you opt in) - To manage partner relationships - To review and moderate story and video submissions - To publish approved videos for awareness and to encourage men to talk

Data storage: Your data is stored securely and is only accessible by authorised itsokaytotalk CIC administrators. Video files are held in private storage and only made viewable to the public after admin review and approval. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Retention: Unapproved or rejected videos are deleted within around 90 days of review. We keep approved videos for as long as the campaign runs, unless you ask us to remove them.

Your rights: Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us to make a request.

Cookies: See our Cookie Policy for details on how we use cookies.
