About itsokaytotalk CIC
Our mission is to reduce male suicide by making support easier to find, easier to talk about, and easier to act on — before a man reaches the point of no return.
What we are
itsokaytotalk CIC is a Community Interest Company — a social enterprise registered in the UK. We are not currently a registered charity unless stated otherwise. Our work is funded by contributions, awareness merchandise, and community support.
We are not a helpline. We are not therapists. We are not an emergency service. We are a practical signpost — a place where men can find direction, honest information, and support links when they need them most.
Why we focus on men
Women experience many of these same problems and pressures too — pain, isolation, debt, loss, and despair are human experiences, not gendered ones. We do not for a moment suggest otherwise, and we would never discourage anyone from seeking help.
We focus on men because men face a specific and deadly crisis. In the UK, three out of four suicides are men. Men are far less likely to ask for help, far more likely to reach crisis point in silence, and far too often let down by support systems that don't speak their language or meet them where they are.
Our tone, our tools, and our outreach are built specifically for men — direct, practical, non-judgemental, no softening. The door is open to anyone worried about a man in their life. But our mission is narrow on purpose, because we believe focused, honest, male-centred signposting can reach the men that general support too often misses.
Our Values
Directness
We say what we mean. No jargon, no softening.
Dignity
Every man who reaches out deserves respect.
No Judgement
We do not judge how you got here. We help you move forward.
Practical Help
Direction, not therapy. Action, not advice columns.
Transparency
We show where money goes and what we do with it.
Hope
Even the darkest night ends. We help men see that.
Community
Men supporting men. Locally, digitally, practically.
Three quarters of all suicides in the UK are men. That is not a statistic. It is a crisis.
We exist because the systems that should catch men before they fall are not working fast enough. Until they do, there is this.
Got a Platform? Help Us Reach More Men.
Men follow people they trust. If you have a following — on social media, a podcast, a blog, a community — your voice could be the thing that makes a man reach out before it's too late. Join our ambassador programme and get the assets, stats, and support you need to make a real difference.
